We boarded zodiac skiffs - the first of many times to come in the following week - and got our first view of the Safari Voyager.
Our cabin was on the lower deck towards the bow. Our window is slightly lighter than the rest. We chose it because it was a little larger than some on the second deck, not knowing that access to the drawers and closets was blocked by the bed. Not serious, but I spent the week getting things out of the closet on the bed on my knees. :)

I went to the lounge on the 3rd deck with the rest of the passengers for a quick welcome and life vest inspection. Lloyd was having a rest, recovering from an unfortunate episode of shaky knees due to dehydration. I guess he didn't have enough water at lunch and there was nothing available on the bus.
A great meal, the first of many, was followed by a welcome reception in the evening, where we heard about activity options for the next day. All our drinks were included in both the lounge and dining room. The service throughout was excellent.
